Yay! I finally finished! ---------------------------------- EDIT: Awesome! I have a name suggestion! Her name is Tuuli. ^^ Thanks, Zekc! I changed the species name to Makanu (Tuuli is Makanuuan ), which is the Hawaiian word makani with a u instead of an i. Glad that's over... Now I can create a character named Agalia! :yay: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The background came out lighter than I wanted it to, and the hand... -.-' well, let's just say I can't draw hands to save my life! Either way, the contest is about the creature, NOT the hand holding the creature!
So this is Tuuli, a Makanuuan, who holds the power of the wind in her teeny little paws. :3 I would have drawn more of her, but I wanted to show just how small she really is. She's supposed to have four little paws, (with or without legs, I'm not sure yet) a dark red cloth tied around the base of her tail (with two ends to it... you know, like this: -< ), and I need to restyle her wings someday.
I created this species (and Tuuli) on Saturday night, while watching this STUPID cat that wouldn't come back inside until about 11:00 pm. -.- (Here's my original doodle sheet I did: [link] ) My idea first came from what I would imagine as a little kid. On long car trips, I loved to pretend that there was a little dragon or something flying alongside the car. This picture is actually quite similar to how I imagined it!
In my "fictional" life (reality with a few things added-you'll find that I will use it a lot ), I befriended Tuuli when I was just under 3 months old. We are now inseparable- and she does love to fly alongside our car. ^^ (Only I can see her though... She does this thing where she is invisible to everyone but me. It's weird...
So while I was watching this stupid cat, Tuuli saw a bottle of blue ink on my desk. She thought, "ooh! 'm gonna dye my hair blue!" So... she did. And she didn't like it too much... When I got home, I was like 'OMG WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?' And she said she had tried to wash it out, but couldn't get all of it. O_O So I spent and hour trying to wash it out... It mostly worked. (Actually, I originally colored her hair blue in the picture, but it didn't match the rest of it, so I had to ERASE all of it... I almost ripped the paper, and it was still a little blue, but I managed to fix it. Don't see it now, do you? ^^)
So even though I'm not entirely happy with the picture, this is my OFFICIAL entry for the contest! It would be nice to win something this early on... maybe i could replace my crappy pencil colors, IF I win..... (unlikely, though) I hope she gets to be at least one of the 10 finalists! She deserves at least that much.

Ahh! Don't eat her, silly! She'll get mad and send a huge thunderstorm or something and you'll get zapped by lightning! (not that she controls the lightning... I should invent another species that does that someday. )
